Tour & Project Information
Looking for a fun and unique place to take your group? Visit Meadowbrooke Gourds for an interesting tour and a fun gourd project!
Please call us at 717-776-6029 to book your tour and project. All tours must be scheduled in advance to allow for planning. Below are some helpful answers to frequently asked questions.
When booking your tour, please provide the following:
1. The Name of the group, Contact name and phone number.
2. How many people are coming?
3. What time will they be arriving?
4. Will they be doing a project? If so, which project?
Minimum of 10 people, maximum of 20 people per tour guide. (Note: Count wheelchair as 2 people.)
Adult Tours: For 10-20 people, tour is Free. For 21 or more people, tour fee is $75. Projects are an additional charge.
Field Trips for children: Tours are Free. Projects cost a nominal fee.
Tours may be scheduled Tuesday – Friday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm or at another time that is convenient for the group provided a tour guide and crafter are available.
Projects may be scheduled in conjunction with tours or you may book just a project.
No tours or projects may be scheduled on Friday or Saturday during Open House weekends.
Projects that can be done with a tour:
Class size is usually about 15 adults or about 20 children.
School fieldtrips will be split up to accommodate this rule.
All supplies will be provided.
All projects are “make and take” crafts except the birdhouses and butterfly houses. We ask that they stay here to be coated in outdoor poly. This process takes a few days to cure, so the houses will be ready to be picked up about a week later.
Paint-your-own gourd birdhouse:
- Kids up to age 13: $7.00
- Ages 14 and up: $10.00
Paint-your-own 5” – 6” gourd basket: $10.00
Paint-your-own gourd butterfly house: $15.00
Create-your-own Jack o’ Lantern:
Cost: FMI (ornament size) $5.00
5” Bowl (Unlit, no lid) $10.00
7” Kettle (Lit) $30.00
